The mangrove forest at Lac Bay are unique in the Caribbean and are amongst the best preserved in the region.There are three species of mangrove trees in Lac and as you tour the forest you will see why they are a vital nursery grounds for all kinds of marine life, fish and birds. Visitors can either tour (all guided) the mangroves by kayak or in a solar-powered boats. A two hour guided kayak tour gives you the opportunity to snorkel in this unique environment! You get to see various fish, even spot some turtles and explore the beautiful coral formations growing on the roots of the mangrove trees. A must do on Bonaire!
