Wij verblijven het liefst in kleinschalige boutique hotels en cottages. Waar ook ter wereld gaan we op zoek naar rust en plaatselijke sfeer. Die heb je hier wanneer je één stap binnen zet.
De ontvangst, gemoedelijkheid en rust zijn hier top. Wij slapen in de hoogste cottage ‘between the trees’. Met een leuk aangrenzend lounge terras. Geweldige inrichting, gezellige jacuzzi’s en verfrissend zwembad.
Tip: neem muggenmelk mee als je ‘s avonds wil buiten zitten. Toiletpapier, douchegel en vers eten kun je in de AH in Kralendijk kopen. Handdoeken zijn aanwezig en iedere overhande dag wordt er gepoetst en de handdoeken omgeruild.
Fijn is ook dat je hier een frigobox in je huurwagen kunt stoppen want op het eiland is niet overal een bar of restaurant aanwezig. Qua auto raden we een pickup aan, zeker als je offroad wil gaan! De auto kan je bij je reservatie gelijk mee huren. Wij zijn fan en komen zéker terug!

After several trips to Bonaire we decided this time on a more apartment-like approach rather than booking the typical diver hotel as on our previous trips. We wanted to have a kitchen for more flexibility regarding eating options. So we settled for one week at the Bellafonte and one week at Bamboo Bali Bonaire.

Already the preparations for the trip were handled perfectly by Debbie! We decided for “Heaven can wait” – and a heaven it was!

Anno welcomed us upon arrival and showed us the cottage and the resort facilities. Cold beer and wine were waiting in the fridge and the kitchen was well equipped. The whole interior as well as the exterior with open shower, bathroom and jacuzzi were decorated with an eye for the detail – absolutely lovely! We immediately felt at home!

The big table on the porch was our favourite place – for coffee, dinner and for hanging out between dives. There were also a lot of sun chairs in that secluded area around the cottage and you barely noticed another person around – except if you needed support for something – someone of the staff was always around and quickly taking care of it.

We really enjoyed the private BBQ at the cottage – together with a good piece of meat from the Van-den-Tweel supermarket.

The facilities for divers were spacious – shower, rinse tank and gear rack. Since the area of the resort is closed by doors the gear was also safe. They provide wheelbarrows to easily move the equipment to the car.

We had a dive package with Dive Friends Bonaire and their closest location was just opposite the street. Picking up tanks was a very easy thing!
And after the dives there was nothing better than submersing in the private jacuzzi, looking at the palm trees and listening to the birds. Only being observed by the tree frogs 😉

If you visit like us in the (more or less) rainy season, do not forget insect repellant – there are some mosquitos around.

We will definitely come back to this friendly & lovely place with the very personal care provided by the whole team!

Eigentlich sollte man das Bamboo Bali nicht bewerten, damit es ein Geheimtipp bleibt. Aber das haben Anno, Vera und Debbie nicht verdient.
Schon im Vorfeld wurden wir von Debbie hervorragend betreut. Fragen wurden schnell beantwortet. Angekommen, wurden wir aufs herzlichste begrüßt und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Wir wurden im Love at the first sight untergebracht und es war auch Liebe auf den ersten Blick
Im der kleinen und ruhigen, von Vera liebevoll eingerichteten Hotelanlage, gibt es überall etwas zu entdecken. Die Cottage sind alle individuell eingerichtet, es gibt außerdem eine „Gemeinschaftsecke“ und eine Poolecke.
Die Grundversorgung war in unserem Cottage gesichert, Kaffee, Tee war vorhanden, die Küche ist gut bestückt.
Da das Bamboo Bali nicht direkt am Meer liegt, hat man freien Zugang zum Strand des Eden Spice Beach Club. Wenn Kreuzfahrtschiffe da sind, ist es empfehlenswert schon beizeiten da zu sein, um eine Liege zu bekommen.
In der Nähe sind einige gute Restaurants, die man zu Fuß erreichen kann.
Einzigster Kritikpunkt: Zimmerreinigung findet nur alle zwei Tage statt.

In my last review, I wrote, we would definitely come back… And we did – already 4 times My husband and I returned few days ago from another great vacation in Bonaire, Bamboo Bali. I´ve travelled the world a lot (including Maldives and Bora Bora) and it is very rare to come across other place like Bamboo Bali. Bamboo Bali is standing on my accommodation pedestal (Marriott, Hiltons and others cannot beat it!). Staying at Bamboo Bali is like living in a design catalogue for few days or weeks. And I mean it in absolute positive way – each house/Cottage is decorated individually, paying attention to every detail and gives you a cozy feeling. This is modern, clean accommodation with a special touch and style. Resort looks exactly like on pictures on web sites. It is quiet with very lush grounds and small salt water pool. You will be only occasionally positively disturbed by parrots crying on trees, lizards, hermit crabs and other animal visitors from wilderness (there are no poisonous species on Bonaire, so don´t worry ). Each house has its own private large veranda with seating, some have small gardens, outdoor showers, swing beds, Jacuzzis… Divers will find there 2 rinsing stations and gear outdoor storage places. We appreciated to have a fully equipped kitchenette in the house (all houses have it). If you don´t like self-catering, don´t worry, there is another resort just across the road and they are serving food the whole day or you can drive to town (5 min) where you have very many restaurants to choose from.
What else to say? Go for it and just enjoy your stay in this Caribbean paradise! (and I will be jealous :-))

Bamboo Bali is one of the best places we’ve stayed in, in the Caribbean, and we come quite a lot. It’s safe, secluded, well resourced, and personable. Arnold is still helping run the beajou resort that he helped build a decade ago and it is very well maintained. We particularly loved: The layout which is very diver friendly, the room which had a little walk way through the trees to an outside treetop sitting area and the fact that you could cook your own food (a really good supermarket is close (called Van Den Tweel I think) and the open plan galley kitchen was properly equipped to do this. There are many restaurants close by (Karols is in a stunning location on the jetti in Kralendijk for example) We hired a truck and that really helped open up the whole island. We really enjoyed hanging out at the little pool and Jacuzzi – watching bird life and conch crabs and lizards: Awesome. Thanks to all the staff for making it brilliant!

Rust, natuur, comfort, gastvrijheid en sfeervolle ambiance. Hiervoor moet je naar Bamboo Bali op Bonaire. Ee unieke plek. Op loopafstand van de zee, in een rustige omgeving, vlakbij een supermarkt, op loopafstand van de haven en vijf minuten rijden van Kralendijk. Het team van Bamboo Bali doet er alles aan om het naar je zin te maken. Voor herhaling vatbaar. Aanrader.

We zijn hier nu voor de vierde keer geweest en het blijft fantastisch! Een oase van rust, luxe en genieten! Anno, Vera, Bas en nu ook Debbie staan altijd voor je klaar. Je merkt dat het resort met liefde opgebouwd is en onderhouden wordt. Echt een aanrader !

Dit was onze eerste vakantie samen, na een lange vliegreis kwamen wij in een super mooi klein resort, waar we heel vriendelijk en gezellig werden ontvangen.
Ons huisje had een jaccuzi, wat heerlijk was. De kamer lag lekker beschut en was erg prive. Werkte er iets niet, dan werd dit direct gefixed door Anno, wij hadden dan ook het huisje wat net opgeleverd was. Zag er super uit.
Daarnaast waren er ook voldoende ruimte om om in de rinse tanks de duikuitrusting uit te spoelen en op te hangen.
Het pakket waarbij een auto en en lucht en lood bestelt kon worden bij een naburig duikcentrum was goed geprijsd, een uitstekende auto kregen wij er voor terug.
Al met al een hele mooie, rustige locatie, met vriendelijk personeel. Vergeet ook niet te vragen naar Debby’s tips over het eiland

This accommodation is a place you want to keep a secret and don’t want to leave. This family owned business is run with so much love and passion – and it shows on every corner.
There is the lush tropical garden with all the various palm trees, Banana plants and much more! The name “Bali” is not just for show, the design truly replicates the spirit and the feel of being there (We spent 6 weeks in 2016 in Bali…)
There is attention paid to every little detail, flower decoration, a welcoming name sign (with your name on it- and to keep as memorabilia), very tasteful interior makes you feel welcome and relaxed.
Since we came to dive: I should mention the dedicated washing and storage for all your dive gear. I should mention that the dive & drive packages are very reasonably priced.

We will definitely come back here.
