Very quiet place with beautiful cottages. We stayed in cottage ‘Just the 2 of us’ which was great to relax with a very big bathroom and a lot of space around the cottage. The Bamboo Bali Team is very helpfull and make you feel really welcome. Bamboo Bali was the perfect place to spent our honeymoon, together with the beautiful island Bonaire!

Wat een gave locatie is dit. Wij hebben hier 6 nachten gelogeerd en we vonden het geweldig. De lodges zijn nieuw en modern maar zeer smaakvol en gezellig ingericht en elke lodge heeft veel buitenruimte. We hadden lodge 1 waar een zitje, een bank, een picknicktafel en een hangmat en hangstoel bij zaten waar we veel gebruik van hebben gemaakt. De lodges liggen in een soort tropische tuin.
De kamers zijn schoon en worden om de dag schoon gemaakt. Mocht je tussendoor echter wensen hebben is dat geen enkel probleem. De badkamer was geweldig. Keuken is goed uitgerust. Bij het resort kun je koelboxen lenen, ideaal voor als je van plan bent het nationaal park te gaan bezoeken.
Bamboo Bali ligt niet direct aan het strand maar met de vouchers kun je bij Eden Beach gratis gebruik maken van de strandstoelen. Dit is te lopen maar een auto is wel aan te raden.
Sowieso leuk ook om het eiland mee te verkennen. Al met al hebben wij genoten.

Feels like having your own beautiful home at Bonaire. We stayed in the beautiful cottage Inspiration. With a lot of privacy it really felt like home during our stay.
Well decorated! Best place to be at Bonaire, taking care of by Anno and Sebastián and Debby and Ruth. if you like a homely privat and quiet stay. Easy to reach Kralendijk, the beach and some nice restaurants.

We had our first visit to Bonaire recently. We took a gamble on Bamboo Bali based on TripAdvisor reviews. I could not have been happier with our experience.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Instead of the cement cubes along the beach open to any and everyone–which with the rampant theft on the island is a risk–we were tucked away in a stone-walled, secluded little slice of heaven. We had the “Heaven Can Wait” cottage. There was as much outdoor living space as indoor. With our own grilling area, outdoor shower, hot tub, and meditation garden area, our little section of the property gave us the feeling of being on our own private island.
Scuba was the reason for our visit, and all our needs were anticipated. There are conveniently placed outdoor rinsing tanks, showers, and drying stalls for all equipment. The property is safe, and off the beach, so not a target; so we never had any concern about leaving gear unguarded. One day, we ended up with a nearly flat tire on our rental truck. We mentioned it casually as we were greeted coming back from diving. Before we knew it, Anno was outside with an air compressor re-filling the tire for us!
The property itself, especially at night, takes on a sort of magical feeling. The whole layout is full of verdant trees and water features with winding paths. When the wind blows through all the greenery, it sound like the ocean. Delicate wind chimes seem to hang everywhere and all have just the right mellow sound. The lighting even contributes to the atmosphere as the property is never totally dark, but gently lit with little firefly lights strategically placed all around. Parrots are frequent morning visitors to the fruiting trees.
I have never been to a resort that made me feel as though I were just vacationing at my own personal home. I will never be able to go back to a standard cement cube hotel set up.
Bamboo Bali also has a deal worked out with Wannadive that you can roll into the price of your stay. We found Wannadive to be a wonderful diving outfit to work with and were so pleased not to have to guess at a good shop. They took excellent care of us.
I had the rare feeling at the end of our week there of feeling genuinely rested. One week felt like two. As much as I liked the Scuba diving, I have to say, any trip back to Bonaire would be at least 50% motivated by getting to stay at this resort again. What a treasure. I would not consider staying anywhere else. Thank you!

I have spent a week in this boutique hotel and my experience has been really positive.
The owners have managed to create a little paradise. It is a bit special in the sense that reproduces more a South Eastern Asian type of atmosphere with a tropical garden and Buddha inspirations rather than a Caribbean atmosphere, but it is absolutely lovely.
I have stayed in the private villa called Inspiration that grants you great privacy also in the area outside your villa.
Staff is lovely- they immediately fixed some tiny issues here and there and were very flexible and helpful across the board.
I would definitely recommend this place- it is an oasis of peace.

Wonderful place of beauty and serenity. Our entire stay was filled with warmth and hospitality.The cottages are well appointed, with gracious and thoughtful extras such as 2 cold beers in the fridge on our arrival, many towels. Every detail in this place is perfect, the garden and rooms are decorated in Asian and Beach style. The hospitality is great, we got a free airport pickup an drop off. We loved every minute of our stay.

This was our second time to stay at Bamboo Bali Bonaire and we wish we never had to leave! We stayed in “Just the two of us” which is nicely decorated and very comfortable (but we think that’s the case for all the cottages!). The bathroom is luxurious and the kitchen had everything we needed for our week’s stay. Having 3 outdoor seating areas (and a hammock!) to choose from was a real plus too. The gas barbecue is also not far from the cottage so we used it on several occasions.
Nothing seems far when you are in Bonaire, and Bamboo Bali is in a great location. It’s across the road from Rum Rummers which is great for happy hour cocktails with sunset view. And Bamboo Bali is near to several really good snorkelling sites (1000 steps, Karpata, & Tolo were our favourites). The drift snorkel on Klein Bonaire is also a must (we went with Caribe watersports on Debbie’s recommendation).
Communication with Debbie by email was terrific. She was always helpful and quick to respond. She also organised our truck rental with AB Car Rental. And after our arriving flight was delayed, Anno stayed up until 2am to meet us and show us to our cottage. We were so grateful to have finally arrived and he was very kind and welcoming. And finally, Ruth is lovely and made our room up every other day and gave us fresh towels.
“Just the two of us” is closer to the main road than some of the other cottages but this wasn’t much of an issue during the day (much less noise than we have in London at least!) and we couldn’t hear traffic when we were inside overnight.
It’s hard to imagine staying anywhere else when our time spent at Bamboo Bali was comfortable and relaxing. Can’t wait to return!
Finally, just as a general note for Bonaire, withdrawing cash from the ATMs will incur a charge. MCB charged us $4 for each cash withdrawal. This was quite a surprise as we don’t even incur charges from our own bank to withdraw money abroad. We ended up using our credit card to pay for things instead.

Zeer fraai vormgegeven kleinschalig report. Prettig geleid. Zeker voor stellen een heel romantische locatie van uitstekende kwaliteit. Redelijk gunstig gelegen, niet ver van zee, maar wel auto nodig als je boodschappen wilt doen bijvoorbeeld.

Wij zijn hier een week geweest als onderdeel van onze huwelijksreis. En wat een prachtig resort met alle gemakken voorzien! Personeel is erg gastvriendelijk, de bedden waren erg goed en de jacuzzi is een echte aanrader!. Er was een bbq aanwezig, hangmat en we konden zelfs onze eigen bananen plukken. Er was veel privacy maar toch kon je altijd het personeel goed benaderen. Alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld. Ook de persoonlijke puntjes van de eigenaars konden we zeer waarderen en dat geeft je een echt thuis gevoel.
Kamertip: Wij hadden een huisje met een jacuzzi in de tuin. Een echte aanrader voor een romantische vakantie …

Dit was ons eerste bezoek aan Bonaire en na enig speurwerk online uitgekomen op Bamboo Bali. Als rolstoelgebruiker ben ik altijd afhankelijk van de toegankelijkheid van een accommodatie maar ga liever niet naar de grote resorts met veel toegankelijke kamers omdat het dan net een soort revalidatiekliniek wordt. Na een eerste mail met vragen kreeg ik een gespecificeerde plattegrond met afmetingen van alle deuren in het huisje Inspiration, het enige huisje waar je geen treden voor op hoeft. Alles is ruim opgezet en met mijn handbewogen rolstoel prima te manoeuvreren. De doorgang bij het douchescherm in de badkamer is kleiner maar met een douchekrukje wat ik zelf mee nam geen enkel obstakel. Lukt dit niet zou een plastic tuinstoel daar ook geregeld kunnen worden. Al voor dat wij waren aangekomen werd door Debbie alles geregeld, huurauto, pick-up van het vliegveld en zelfs de contacten om te zien of ik ook zou kunnen duiken. Echt een heel fijn gevoel om onbezorgd aan je vakantie te kunnen beginnen.
En dan de plek zelf…. een klein stukje met de auto vanaf het vliegveld door het knusse centrum van Kralendijk en je staat al snel voor de deur bij Bamboo Bali. Na de hartelijke ontvangst door Sebastian werden we door hem rond geleid over het terrein en in ons eigen huisje ‘Inspiration’. Door zijn ligging maximale privacy met een eigen tuin met ligbedden, een royale overdekte veranda met zitje, heerlijke hangmat en een extra tafel met stoelen om bijvoorbeeld je ontbijtje te nuttigen. Naast het huisje ligt de buitendouche (met de rolstoel wat lastiger bij te komen). Het huisje zelf is van alle gemakken voorzien, nog nooit zo’n compleet uitgeruste keuken gezien in een vakantieverblijf en in de koelkast stond een koel drankje klaar. De zeer ruime slaapkamer is voorzien van grote hang/legkast, een goed twee persoonsbed en prima werkende airconditioning. Aan alles is te merken dat het geheel met zorg en aandacht wordt omringd. Op het terrein bevinden zich onder andere twee jacuzzi’s, een klein zoutwater zwembad en twee barbecue’s welke door de gasten gebruikt kunnen worden. Overal op het terrein staat het vol met groene beplanting wat een klein paradijsje is op het toch best droge Bonaire.
Het grootste compliment toch wel voor de gastvrijheid en de zorg voor de gasten. Of het nu gaat om waar je lekker kunt eten, of het organiseren van een duik voor iemand in een rolstoel, extra handdoeken of een oplossing hoe in de jacuzzi te komen vanuit de rolstoel: overal wordt geprobeerd een goede oplossing voor te vinden.
We hebben genoten van een absolute wereldvakantie.. en ja, zelfs stiekem een beetje getwijfeld of we dit wel allemaal moeten opschrijven, want wij willen zeker terug en dan moet het natuurlijk niet helemaal vol zitten 😉
