Bamboo Bonaire is centrally located and close to the ocean (60 meters / 195 feet). From Flamingo Airport to Bamboo Bonaire Boutique Resort is just a 10 min. drive by car.
Nearby Beaches
There are several beaches with facilities within walking distance of Bamboo Bonaire. Guests may use the beach facilities including beach chairs, sun umbrellas, restaurant and bar for a nominal fee.
Snorkeling spots close to Bamboo Bonaire: Bari Reef, the Cliff and Eden Beach.
Restaurants
Next to our on-site restaurant CHEFS there are 6 waterfront restaurants within close walking distance of the resort where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve a variety of food from fresh seafood, pasta, steaks and pizza. Most of them also offer live music. We are happy to assist in making dinner reservations.
Supermarket
There are several supermarkets on Bonaire from small to big. The closest supermarket is located within a 400 meter/ 1/4 mile walk from Bamboo Bonaire. It is a medium size supermarket and offers standard groceries. Opening hours: from 8:30 am to 5 pm / 7 days a week. All Prices are in USD currency. Credit and debit cards are also accepted.
Shops
You find an ATM machine at the nearby supermarket. A drugstore, souvenir & dive retail shop are a 10 min. walk away. The center of Kralendijk is only a 5 min. drive from Bamboo Bonaire.
On site Dive Facilities & Dive Shop
For our guests we have 24/7 unlimited air/Nitrox available on site provided by VIP Diving. Our dive partner VIP Diving, is located 8 min. by car from the resort. They offer different dive packages including a convenient drive thru for tank exchange.
Gym
Within a 10 min. walk from the resort you find 2 gyms. Flamingo Fitness is an open air gym including Cross Fit classes. Bon Bida Gym offers a variety of classes and fitness in air-conditioning. Both gyms have day & weekly passes available.
Safety
Bonaire is very safe to walk around, both during the day as well as the evening. The road in front of Bamboo Bali is used for early morning walks/runs and during sunset when street lights are turned on. The resort is safely surrounded by a wall with 2 locked main gates.

Directions from the Airport to Bamboo Bonaire
Flamingo Airport to Bamboo Bonaire is 10 minutes by car. Follow the road that leads from the airport towards Kralendijk. Turn left at the T-junction by the the stadium. Take the first on your right and after 200 meters (1/8 mile) turn left at the easily recognizable Bonaire Tourist Office located on the corner of the street called Kaya Grandi. This is the largest shopping district/street of the island and about 5 minutes by car from Bamboo Bonaire. At the end of the shopping street (Kaya Grandi) continue north for another 800 meters (1/2 mile) and you will see Bonaire’s harbor and a big roundabout.
