Hello, I’m Irma! When I moved to this piece of paradise at the end of 2021, my personal journey began to give you the vacation of your dreams. Hi! I’m Brigitte.  I enjoy living in Bonaire paradise with my family after moving from the Netherlands in 2009. Often I get the question “Why did you move to Bonaire”? It’s a simple answer, it was love at first sight! I love diving in our beautiful crystal clear ocean, kiteboarding at Atlantis Beach, and enjoying our endless sunsets. I’m grateful for living on this beautiful Island and working at Bamboo paradise. Promoting our intimate and unique boutique resort to the outside world is a wonderful job together with a small and dedicated team. Having a full resort with happy guests makes my day!

I am Chris and I have been on Bonaire for 9 years. I was born in the United States and grew up in a loving family. I came to Bonaire for a dive trip and it changed my life completely. I decided to permanently move to Bonaire to escape the rush life of the States. I am passionate about woodworking as I view each creation as its own work of art. I take great pride in the construction and maintenance of the resort as my work is a representation of myself. What I love about Bamboo Bonaire is that everyone feels like family. I can’t wait to meet you at Bamboo Bonaire.

My name is Claribel and my home country is Colombia. I came to the island thanks to my partner who has lived here for more than 20 years. He gave me the opportunity to get to know this beautiful island. Five years ago was my first visit and I realized this is the place I wanted to be.  I was fortunate enough to be able to work at the beautiful Bamboo Bonaire. I am happy to offer my hospitality to the guests in the best possible way. I found a new family with the best team I could ever imagine!

My name is Luz Marina Gonzalez from Colombia. Eight years ago I came to this beautiful island looking for a better future and yes, I found it. I have worked at several different hotels before finding my home at beautiful Bamboo Bonaire. It is a place of tranquility with very nice people. I take pride in my work and do my best for the guests to fully enjoy their stay.

We are Han ten Winkel and Mark Tromop and have been friends since Culinary School in the Netherlands. Together we cooked our way around the world, ultimately ending up on Bonaire in 2008. Back in The Netherlands, ‘Dushi’ Bonaire turned out to have gotten under our skin as only Bonaire can. The decision to return was quickly made, but this time as Chefs at our own restaurant. Good food and sharing a meal always brings people together all over the world. For us, the social aspect of dining is an essential element. As Chefs but, equally important as Hosts, all our guests get the personal attention they deserve. We offer our guests a cosy evening in an amazing ambiance. We can’t wait to have you around our table!

The breakfast Team of CHEFS take cares of the daily breakfast service at Bamboo Bonaire. We love to prepare a delicious breakfast to the guests with a personal touch. There is no better way to start your day with us!

Hi, I’m Shiva and I’m watching over Bamboo paradise. In December 2020 I have been adopted from the Animal Shelter Bonaire by the Bamboo Bonaire team. I love my new life in this tropical oasis, it is very relaxing with some special cat excitement from time to time. I like guests that come to say hi, but also like my own space. I look forward to meet you!
